Rumored to leave Manchester United and play in Brazil, this is Cristiano Ronaldo's answer

MDP Live - Cristiano Ronaldo has recently been rumored to be leaving Manchester United. The Portugal star has been linked with a move to Barcelona or Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022.

Manchester United are in danger of losing Ronaldo if they fail to finish in the top four of the Premier League this season. The rumors escalated after a photo of Maria Dolores dos Santos Aveiro, Ronaldo's mother, and the vice-president of Brazilian club Flamengo surfaced online.

The photo made fans start speculating on the possibility of Cristiano Ronaldo moving to Brazil. Speaking exclusively to ESPN, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said:

"What I can say for sure is that Brazil is a sister country. Because of the relationship I have with my colleagues, because of the culture, the Brazilians who live in Portugal."

"My sister lives in Brazil, married a Brazilian. I took nutrition courses with Brazilians. It's a country I respect a lot, I know a lot about Brazil."

Not happy

Ronaldo decided to return to Manchester United from Juventus in 2021 after leaving Old Trafford 12 years ago. However, reports say CR7 is not happy with the current performance of the Red Devils.

Ronaldo is Manchester United's top scorer so far this season with 14 goals in 23 games in all competitions. He has improved in key moments for the Red Devils, but the squad's overall performance has left a lot to be desired.

Nothing impossible

Manchester United are seventh in the Premier League standings, six points behind West Ham United who occupy fourth place. MU also faces an uphill battle to qualify for the Champions League next season.

If it fails, Ronaldo can leave again. Ronaldo did not rule out playing in Brazil. "No one knows. Nobody said I would return to Manchester United at the age of 36 and here I am," said CR7.

"Playing in Brazil? I don't know. Far from my mind. But, in football everything is possible, I don't know," concluded Ronaldo.
