Pierre Gasly Believed AlphaTauri Can Still Perform Better

MDP Live - AlphaTauri's principal, Franz Tost, believes that Pierre Gasly can still develop into an even greater racer. Gasly is a figure who has impressive individual abilities.

It is undeniable that Pierre Gasly's performance in the 2021 F1 season was quite satisfactory. The ex-Red Bull Racing driver appeared consistent in the top ten positions and often made surprises. Although it was satisfactory, Tost said that Gasly's performance was still not fully maximized. He believes the racer still has great potential that can be explored again.

"He (Gasly) has fantastic talent, but the important thing is I always feel he can continue to improve. If we are at his current level and give him a competitive car, he will be there (front row) 100 per cent. With the way he drives , his experience in how to manage cars and tires, he can read the races, which are all very important. You can hear him on the radio the questions he asks," Tost said in an interview with local media.

"He took another important step, a really big step forward. And again, if our car is working and functioning well, then he will be there (front row)," he said once again.

In the 2022 season, Formula 1 will implement regulatory changes. Tost had high hopes that Gasly could become a dark horse in the top competition.
