Neymar's Happiness: Wins 2021 Samba Gold, Injury Recovery Goes Well
MDP Live - Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar is filled with happiness after being awarded the 2021 Samba Gold title. His happiness is increasing because his injury recovery process so far has also gone smoothly.
Despite being sidelined with an ankle injury since late November, Neymar is still making headlines. On Wednesday (2/2), the 29-year-old won the Samba Gold award, an award given to the best Brazilian player who played abroad. This is his second title in a row, but in total, he has collected five titles he won in 2014, 2015, 2017, 2020 and 2021, which makes him the most titles.
Another good news, the inspection last Monday yielded a positive result, indicating that the Brazilian's recovery is on the right track. He is therefore expected to be ready to play when Paris Saint-Germain take on Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League clash on 15 February.
On Wednesday, the number 10 was seen returning to partial training. He warmed up and was involved in a small number of training sessions with his team-mates before undertaking individual sessions with one of the club's physiotherapists.
Injuries have seen Neymar make just 14 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists. His presence is certainly very much needed by PSG, especially in a tough match against Real Madrid in the next two weeks.
